This was my second custom ceramic restoration. As in the previous occasion, it is a piece with many years which was missing pieces and in addition to the chipped, had no color, spots, the rocks were not very realistic colorful and gold leaf on the wooden base was cracked.
I chose to begin by removing the gold leaf and wood stain and wax.
I painted the rocks at the base, recovered the missing mud areas of the figure and then seeing on the internet that this Christ of Humility is injured, tried to play them but not be exaggerated, because there are figures of the Christ really appalling. This is how it was before:
